Mrowr, thanks for stopping by and getting acquainted with me and my characters.

And now, a few words 'bout myself. I'm 25 years old, a grey wolfling with white belly, brown playful eyes, and two stripes on my front and hind paws — named Avik. I have got two (three) fursuits — a playful puma (Huguary), and a wolf/dog/maned wolf (Ferral). IRL I'm a programmer/TV worker at an international broadcasting company. I've got higher education, and now preparing to apply for an academic title. I like travelling, spend time alfresco, I adore tourism; last year was the first time I attended Eurofurence, and had a long automobile travel afterwards, observing the remarkable sights of Germany and France. Well, you may ask — what was the starting point for all this? How did I become a furry? Or something like this. Well, it's hard for me to answer explicitly; I enjoyed zoology, paleontology, and even geology since childhood — 'cos the nature and wildlife had always attracted me. I used to take part in Biology, and later Chemistry Olympiades, and even have won some of them. In due course, in 8th form, my interest in biology transformed into deep studying of chemistry; after the Moscow State University Chemistry Olympiade I've managed to enroll to Moscow Chemistry Lyceum — where I have studied for remaining 3 years; I had to combine scientific activity with my interests in natural wildlife and zoology. However, I have been constantly thinking of something greater, which I hadn't yet discovered in myself, something that would help me create my own rich inner world.

After enrolling to the university, I began to take interest in animated cartoons and anthropomorfics. Even the army did not cause this interest to fade; on the contrary, it have even become more intense. At the year 2004, upon returning from the army, I saw something that have changed my life totally — a fursuit video about Coyote with soundtrack from Cartoons — Witchdoctor. I have been watching and listening to it for the whole week, used to say «what the heck is this», and «that's crazy — but DAMN, I REALLY LIKE IT!!!». Much time passed since that, but I'm still remembering those days with tears.

I began to search the Internet for similar content, and came to the Russian furry fandom in 2005. Primarily, it was a forum, dedicatet to The Lion King — which touched my soul in the very deep, despite my age. Jeez, when you start to grow older, your very perceptions of everything change, you begin to percieve life at a different angle, conditionally speaking; everything now seems more serious, everything gains a deeper sense. For instance, even the characters are no more just lions or hyenas — they become images, personas. I've spent entire 2 years on this forum; I used to be the «firestarter» of creative meetings, outside picnics for furries; I loved our IRL gatherings....and..well, I was a fan of TLK (later switched to ASB *giggles* ); I'm still collecting and buying a lot of TLK stuff.

I wanted more...I began to watch everything I'd missed before, like Road Rovers and TaleSpin; I studied the history of fursuiting, furry itself — the story of Russian furry fandom has been already familiar to me; I wanted to know more — about Anthrocon, North America, Europe — well, I wondered, how many there were furries all over the globe?

So, my pathway from tails to a full fursuit took 3 years. 2nd of January, 2010 was the first day, when we found ourselves courageous enough to go outdoors wearing fursuits. This day, those feelings we shall remember. This state of soul....the love I received....is...incomparable.

Have I ever dreamt of this? Did I think of it, while secretly watching my first video? Yes, I did. And dreams come true.

Now, filally, the moment I was waiting for such a long time, came on — the first time I will go to Eurofurence in my fursuit; finally, I will meet everyone I knew and loved for all these years; and not just meet them, but now look at them through this eye-grid in my fursuit. I've firmly decided to dedicate my life to furry lifestyle, and everything I do, every effort I apply — is made to know and understand the furocious beauty oth this world even better.
